Originally we began breeding F1 and F1b labradoodles, but as time goes on, we have decided to further develop our labradoodle lines in order to make them more allergy friendly and non-shedding.

We breed Australian Labradoodles...for us that means that parents are labradoodles, grandparents etc. We are working towards creating a breed and having more consistency in temperment, coat, and body structure.

An F1b labradoodle is a cross between an F1 labradoodle (parents are lab and poodle) and a poodle. Technically that is 75% poodle, although sometimes we will still get a puppy that has lab-like hair. We no longer breed F1b labradoodles.

An F1 labradoodle results from breeding a purebred labrador retriever with a poodle. In our case, we use standard poodles. Technically, this cross is 50% poodle and 50% lab. Because this is a hybrid, and only a first cross, there is a lot of variation in the F1 labradoodle. Some will have lab-like hair, some in the middle with scruffy hair, and even the occasional puppy with a very curly coat. No one can ever guarantee non-shedding in a F1 labradoodle. We can only make an educated guess. The F1 labradoodle does have the added benefit of minimal grooming. This is great for the families that are looking for a dog with less shedding than a lab, but limited grooming. We no longer breed F1 labradoodles.
